Boy Scout Troop 125is a traditional "Boy Run" organization that utilizes the “Patrol Method”. The scouting movement started by Baden Powell believes that the growth and experience are gained with positions of leadership and responsibility.
The scouts from Troop 125 thrive on these long standing traditions of the scouting program. They are challenged with positions of leadership within the patrols and the troop. Scout enjoy running and planning the program.
My promise to you as Scoutmaster of Troop 125 is to deliver the scouting program to your boys" We have scouts from a number of areas in and around the Lakewood Ranch Area. We welcome all surrounding communities and understand that academics, sports, music and other personal achievement goals can at times conflict with scouting activities. If your into sports and don't think you can make time, join us as time allows. Once a scout, always a scout.
All scouts benefit from the program features. The program is planned by the youth leadership (not the adults) during the annual planning conference. Scouts planning includes a monthly outing year round. As a member of the Troop your ideas become part of the annual plan.
We want our scouts to take advantage of the opportunities that build character. We encourage attendance at meetings and outings, but regular attendance is not mandatory in order to be a member.
