“5th ANNUAL PARADE OF PONDS” WATER GARDEN TOUR
Ten homeowners in Manatee and Sarasota County are participating in a tour of water gardens & Koi ponds organized & sponsored by Backyard Getaway. The tour will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 8 2010. Tour tickets with tour guide books will be available for purchase online at
Proceeds from the sale of tour tickets will benefit Honor Sanctuary. Honor Sanctuary is a no kill 501c3 charitable animal rescue organizations with three locations serving Manatee & Sarasota counties including Nate’s Place, the Dog Ranch on Lorraine Rd & a cat sanctuary for unadoptable cats due to medical issues. The purchase of a tour ticket will also include admission to a Garden Party Open house after the tour where participants can enjoy refreshments & music by the pond following the tour from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Pond Installation & maintenance experts will be on hand to answer your questions. Ticket holders can also visit Honor Sanctuary dog ranch the day of the tour.
Each water garden on the tour either is a do-it-yourself design by homeowners or professionally installed by Backyard Getaway. Either way, it gives water gardening and Koi enthusiasts a chance to exchange information, share inspiration and see the wide variety of designs, sizes and planting that can enhance any backyard.
